Sharyn Fisher Gray has spent 20-plus years finding creative ways to make math click — as a K-8 teacher, math coach, and middle school principal here in Santa Fe. In 2016, she attended her first MidSchoolMath professional development session and walked away with a wild idea: What if a boring old math problem became an immersive, ongoing story? That experiment didn't just transform her classroom — it helped earn her the 2016 Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. Today, as Director of Implementation with MidSchoolMath, Sharyn gets to do what she loves on a bigger stage, partnering with incredible educators across the country to bring math to life for every student.
