Ann Elise Record is a national consultant, speaker, and author who is passionate about building positive math identities and agencies of each and every student by providing experiences for students to engage in rich math discourse, connect multimodal representations of thinking, and build ownership of flexible strategies that will follow students through their math journeys. Ann Elise is also a co-author, alongside Dr. Nicki Newton and Dr. Alison Mello, of Fluency Doesn’t Just Happen with Addition and Subtraction and Fluency Doesn’t Just Happen with Multiplication and Division. Outside of her professional life, Ann Elise enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog Marty McFly, and counting anything and everything with her granddaughter.
