Participants will leave this session with a deeper understanding of how different types of mathematical tasks can be used to promote thinking, reasoning, and collaboration in a Building Thinking Classroom. Together, we will explore the characteristics of rich, non-routine tasks. Educators will experience several task types firsthand and reflect on how each can be used to engage diverse learners in meaningful mathematics.
